Beginner, 1-2 Hours, 3 Mile Round Trip

Description

A nice paddle along the Port Orchard waterfront. Start at the Water Street boat launch and paddle east, to your right, passing around the outside of the Port Orchard Marina breakwater. Once around the marina you may see the historic Carlisle II, the oldest of two remaining operational examples of a Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet vessel. Continue along the shore passing around Mitchell Point and arriving at the Annapolis pier.

Special Considerations

The north shore of Sinclair Inlet is home to a Naval Base, keep to the southern half of this body of water. Be mindful of boaters and stay clear of the ferry operations.

Going Farther

Adventurous paddlers can gear up for the 7 mile trek to Manchester State Park to camp out overnight.
