Description
Start at the Arcadia Point Boat Launch and head southwest toward the north end of Hope Island. Looking straight out from the boat launch it will be the smaller undeveloped island on the right. Aim for the north end of the island and proceed clockwise around. You can stop off at the south end of the island to have a picnic and explore the two miles of light hiking trails before finishing the second half of the island and proceeding northwest back to Arcadia Point.
Special Considerations
Water is not available on the island, but two vault toilets are provided. Open fires are not allowed.
Going Farther
You can camp out at Hope Island State park, the park offers eight tent spaces plus one Cascade Marine Trail site available to canoers and kayakers only. Explore the trails and paddle the area around Squaxin Island.
