St. Paddle’s Day

Kick off the PNW paddling season at our annual NW Tradition co-hosted with Salmon Bay Paddle! Racing entrance fee is $15. Open to SUP, prone, OC, kayak, ski, canoe and rowers.

Cost: The kids class is free!
The adult classes are $60.00 per person with paddle board or $30.00 per person if you bring your own board.

** Participant Qualifications:
This race is considered a cold, open water race. Participants must be dressed for cold water immersion and have the physical ability and experience to complete the race they sign up for, the race director may change a participants entry from long course to short course if experience and type of equipment is deemed unsafe for the long course
*The race course subject to change based upon weather conditions
Long course: (approximately 6 miles)
Cross open water and could face strong winds and current in both directions of the crossing.
Short course: (approximately 3 miles)
Stay along one shoreline and be a round trip route (down and back), possibly facing wind and current in both directions.
Kids paddle course: (approx. ¼ mile) / complimentary
Circular route around the T dock at Alderbrook, starting on one side of the leg and paddling around the top of the T, returning to the other side of the leg. It is fairly protected and close to the dock at all times, but current and wind can affect paddlers.
